Our Story

The Swiss brothers in Fuerteventura

Family owned and operated

What started as a ‘passing thought’ ended up becoming reality.

A few years back, we joked around about opening up a surf camp, but very soon it became clear to us that we could not let go of that idea. This to us, was a sign to go all in.

So here we are!

We went all in with the goal of being more than just a surf camp – a surfclub that turns into a second home. We want to build a community where everyone feels welcomed, safe, and valued. It should be a place where you can meet like-minded people, while being completly yourself.

We want people to return home from Fuerteventura, with much more than just newly acquired surfing skills. We want people to return home with new friendships, a newfound sense of self and other new skills that help you navigate through life.

With Sascha Imhof, the older brother, as a business administration graduate and Timo Imhof, the younger brother, with a background in social work, we provide a diverse range of expertise, which fits a surf camp perfectly.

Together we bring knowledge ranging from group dynamics to the cultivation of healthy habits.

And let’s not forget our loyal companion, Buddy, our Italian greyhound, who plays a very big and special part of the Kyuka family.

Inspired by the feeling this island gave us.

At some point we looked at each other and knew this was it. We both felt a  calling and decided to listen.

Not always a one-way street

For every path, there is a goal. Sometimes the path is a bit rocky and sometimes it
is straightforward. Life challenges us time and again, often throwing obstacles
in our way.

But what really matters is to never give up.

Our journey started with people laughing at our plans. Yet, we always believed in
doing, and not just talking. We definitely came across many difficulties, but
together, we form a resilient team and believe to always find a solution.

Go with the flow

We always keep our goal in front of us and go with the flow. Sometimes, we come across difficulties and life might test us. However, we do believe that if you want something and work hard enough for it, you can achieve it.

We have had doors closed on us over and over again, sometimes they slammed shut right in our faces. But then, five new doors can open by just having a conversation with a stranger.

Personal contact with people has always benefited us the most. So, don’t shy away from approaching people, because you never know what might come from it. Someone might know someone, and a door opens. So don’t let life get you down; stand up again when you fall.

Trust the flow of life: Good things will come when you are open to them.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this possible
